How does the Bed Filter Work?

A paper bed filter system uses a non-woven filter fabric to remove particles from as it passes through the filter: 

1. Coolant entry: Contaminated coolant enters the system and is directed to a diffuser. 
2. Filtration: The coolant flows through the filter fabric, where particles are trapped. 
3. Clogging: As the filter fabric fills with particles, the coolant level rises. 
4. Filter rotation: When the coolant level reaches a certain point, a liquid level sensor activates the filter feed, which indexes the conveyor to expose a new area of filter media. 
5. Filter replacement: The spent filter media is moved to a waste bin, and clean filter fabric is used in its place. 
6. Coolant recycling: The filtered coolant is returned to the machine tool, while the dirty filter fabric is moved to a sludge tank.
